If golf is not your thing, don’t worry, most golf courses and country clubs have an instructor on site for lessons and other clinics.

Olympian Babe Didrickson Zaharias mastered several sports and became known for golfing. The Babe Zaharias Golf Course honors the memory of this Port Arthur-born great. Greens are on Jimmy Johnson Boulevard, named for our home-grown coaching hero.

Sugar Land’s Greatwood Golf Club features an 18-hole golf course designed by Carlton Gipson, a full-service restaurant, and spacious guest accommodations for tournaments. The course’s lush greens offer avid golfers challenging holes, a steady pace, and excellent course conditions. Greatwood Golf Club is open to the public seven days a week and is conveniently located near the Southwest Freeway. River Bend Country Club is another stunning option. It's been voted the best golf course in Sugar Land, and was designed by Press Maxwell Jr.
